I’m an exploration geologist and geological advisor focused on helping teams make clearer decisions at critical stages of exploration and project development. My work centers on interpreting complex or incomplete geological data, integrating land access and permitting realities, and framing risk in a way that supports sound technical and business judgment.
Professional Focus
I’ve worked across a range of commodities and project stages, supporting early-stage exploration through advanced evaluation. My experience includes uranium, critical minerals, and precious metals projects throughout the western United States, often at points where geological interpretation, land position, and permitting considerations intersect.
How I’m Typically Engaged
- Early-stage targeting and data synthesis to inform next-step decisions
- Independent technical reviews and second opinions
- Permitting, land access, and strategy input alongside geological interpretation
- Advisory support during project inflection points or transitions
I’m most effective when brought in early enough to influence direction, but experienced enough to help teams reassess when assumptions need to be tested.
If you’re navigating an exploration or development decision and need clear, defensible geological perspective, I’m happy to have a conversation.

background
I’m a Certified Professional Geologist (CPG) with more than two decades of experience in mineral exploration and mining across the western United States, including Wyoming, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, and Idaho. My work has spanned a range of geological settings and commodities, including uranium, critical minerals, gold, silver, copper, and lithium.
Over the course of my career, I’ve worked at the intersection of field geology, data interpretation, and project evaluation—often in environments where incomplete information, land access constraints, and regulatory considerations must be reconciled before sound decisions can be made. This perspective increasingly shapes my work today, where I focus on helping teams test assumptions, clarify risk, and align geological understanding with real-world project constraints.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in geology from the University of Wyoming and have served in technical and oversight roles including Radiation Safety Officer. I continue to engage in ongoing professional development and remain actively involved in advancing best practices within the exploration community.
I’m an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Exploration & Mining Association (AEMA), the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME), and the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC). I currently serve on the boards of the Geological Society of Nevada and the Nevada Mineral Exploration Coalition, and I regularly speak at industry conferences and technical forums.
